Comedy Writing

Sense of humor is an important character trait because you can see what people laugh at or if they laugh at all. You can see what people are like and if they are happy and enjoying life and if they don't laugh then I wouldn't try because there just not enjoying life or not having a good day. You may want to cheer them up but sometimes people have to have there unhappy days.

To make a hilarious narrative you must have, first of all, have a funny story no one wants to spend time listening or reading something not funny. Second, you need to have a narrator or something to make the story to come to life. Third, probably don't take a joke off the internet or from a comedian you like, if you are having trouble finding a joke, look at everyday life. Fourth, know who your audience is they might be offended by some stuff you say or do. For example, my joke has some offensive stuff to mid eastern people but my audience are school kids so they wouldn't be offended by my joke. Finally, if you need to, practice on other people.

My comedic monologue is about my family almost being scammed by some Middle-Eastern and my mom wanting revenge on those people. My comedic monologue is funny because it puts in dialogue which is that hilarious indian accent. It also sees how parents are so protective over there families and what they will do to protect their families, and also to make their families laugh.

Motivational poster

In KMS's GT class we have been working on a motivational poster. To make a motivational poster you have put in your 6 layers 2 text layers, one of your manifesto and one of your personal quotes. Also put your 3 symbolic images and one a portrait of you. Second, you have to make sure the kerning, the spacing between characteristics, is accurate. Make the triadic color, 1 dominant color and 2 harmonious colors that are balanced, look cool or whatever you want it to be. The visual balance, the equal weight of elements distributed, is what you want it to be and make sure the text layers look somewhat accurate or good or cool.

The way I did my motivational poster was first had to have all your symbols, think of your manifesto personal quotes. Then, you have to copy your manifesto and personal onto photoshop. Next, you have to put your 4 images into photoshop and arrange them in an accurate or cool design. Finally, you get to add color and kerning words and make the text stand out from the pictures. So theres a step-by-step explanation of how I did my motivational poster.

The biggest challenge for me was to add color onto our writing and imaging to make it blend in and making sure everything looked pretty and nice and beautiful and accurate. The biggest improvement was to make the text and kerning accurate. It was so much to get everything the way it is.
