Hockney Style Joiners

David Hockney is a professional artist and photographer. He made a type of photo image called photomontages. In GT we have been learning about and making photomontages. David Hockney's photomontages are different than mine because he is a professional at photomontages, but unlike me I started photomontages like two weeks ago. So his is more professional than mine. 

An image can send both a positive and negative messages by having a certain feeling. It has to do a lot with the lighting. If a image is dark and not lit up and not hopeful then it is sending a dark and negative message. However, if there is an image where it's dark and there's a little glare or big shine through the dark clouds than it is probably sending a very sweet and positive message. Whatever image or feeling it is hopefully sending a beautiful message. 

The message I intend my audience to see is that the world can be nice to you, and if it's not it will come around eventually. I actually have multiple messages, but that is the main message. Some other messages I intend is to never give up,try hard in everything you do, and more that I can't remember at this moment. You'll see some more in my personal manifesto blog post.

2016 Aspirations

Hi guys, before I start this blog I just want to say I hope you had an amazing 2015 and are ready for 2016. 

Some goals that I want to achieve in 2016 are get straight A's. Try to pay more attention in common core classes. Do more chores around my house. Be more helpful when my parents need help. Stop getting addicted to food that will make me really fat. You might be laughing at some of the goals but they're all true.


Out of all the goals I just mentioned the one that is most important to me is me being helpful when my parents need help. It has been an issue in 2015 but now I'm helping out a lot more and I don't think we have had one argument in 2016 yet. My parents have kind of spoiled me over the years in that way. But I don't like being spoiled at all so I will help them out more.

All of my goals are very hard but still possible. Some things I could do to ensure success of my goals are taking small steps then take larger steps overtime. Like doing more chores, I could start with 2 chores a day then move up to 3, then 4, and so on.

Scratch Game Design








Other users influenced my game by seeing what can be done and what has been done. That really showed me that I can do a simple chase game at least. Also, some of my friends in my GT class were making like double player chase game. As soon as he said that I was like "Oh if he can do that then I know I can make my game." So other users gave me confidence. 

Both a platform game and chase game takes work. There was a lot of different coding during it. And I'm still not done with my platform game. With a platform game you need to make a gravity engine and with a chase game you need to make the other character move towards the sprite. Well there was a lot of code for both but its still worth it. 

My best code is to the right in my chase game. I am proud of making the cat follow the parrot. My most difficult bug fixes is making the sprite have to stay on the platforms. Which I sadly haven't done yet.

Invention Commercial

 In this GT project, our expectations were to make our audience not be able to live without our invention and we might have done that. I'm not sure I can't look at it like that from the creator of the product. Also our goal was to explain what our product does and how it works and I'm pretty sure we did that. But we were supposed to entertain the audience which I didn't think we did that sadly. But I think we had a commercial that did need improvement but met most of the standards. 

Our best team moment during production was probably when I brought the SCUF model and brought props we needed to film with. Then, we went to go film the rest that had to be done outside. Also, There was a day when me and our leader were going to the room to finish our project and our other teammate was there too. Wow, I was shocked. That was also the day that we finished.  

During editing, we all did something. Cephas Woodward was our leader and so he made sure that there were no mistakes made or anything. Our entire project was on Jason Hoy's computer so he did most of the editing. Usually, when they were filming I would try to get some editing done. We didn't have certain roles to do for everyone on our team but we all had each others back.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

I think the most important composition filming technique is point of view, and no you did not see it in the video above. Not only do I think it is the best I think it is the most exciting! Because you can see what the person is going through or doing. Lets say someone is riding a bike on a mountain, not just any mountain, the mountain trail is only 1 foot wide! You can see the person on the super scary trail riding their bike you may not be able to see their reaction but you will see the person peddling and almost to the part of the mountain where the width extends and.... He just fell off.

I think some of the most difficult composition techniques are high angle, low angle, ants eye, and leading lines. These all are difficult because either you'll have to be high up or low on the ground or have to find a certain place and angle. You would use these composition techniques for humor. You might use leading lines so that people know what to focus on. 

In this GT project my teammates were very helpful and reliable. Their names are Cephas Woodward and Jason Hoy. We all did something in editing. Jason did music Cephas did titles and I did transition, I also made sure they were on task and to see if we all liked our final product. All of us did camera and we switched it around a lot.

Cracking the code

I think that everyone should learn how to code. I think everyone should learn to code because it may be difficult and boring for some people such as I, but it is worth it. Here I am saying that when I'm only done with my first practice. Also it is a life skill whatever you want to be even Chris Bosh basketball player for Miami heat did coding in college. But you'll just need it in life.

I do not have really any other experience with coding until we just started in GT, honestly I didn't know what it was before. Some lessons have been really boring and then some are really, really fun. Like the first one was you had to follow a certain path and that was so boring. Then the next one was following a certain pattern and making your own pattern and that one was so much more fun.   

If I could design any program or game I would it would be to help other computer companies, not including apple because their doing really well, I would help them fix some of their techniques their using because their computers are slow and need to be worked on.

My Humorous Monologue

What I have learned from this project is that not everything is funny. What I mean is that you can't just put a bunch of words together that go together and call it funny. You can say it's a riddle if they go "ohhh" or if they say "that makes sense". I've also learned how to edit or use iMovie.



Padding, or putting clips over monologue, is important because then you have your added clips and audio for your project. Padding your clips is very crucial because then it won't look at your audio saying "I thought there was supposed to be clips and audio with out seeing you say your monologue or audio?" of course you saw I did that for a moment, on accident.

I think my biggest weakness was finding a joke or story of mine that was under 60 seconds. My biggest strength and funnest thing for me to do was finding sound effects to put in. I put in the crying and laughter. I did have one moment where my B-rolls not correctly placed over the audio thats what I could've improved on.
